We love what we do and believe conservation, done well, can have a meaningful impact on places and people. From the beginning, our company was founded on exemplary advice and quality craftsmanship, and those principles remain our DNA.
Management & Technical
DBR’s management and technical teams bring together experienced conservation professionals, surveyors, estimators, project managers and specialist support staff with deep knowledge of historic buildings and traditional construction techniques. Working closely with clients, consultants, site teams and craftspeople, they oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of complex conservation and restoration projects, ensuring work is carefully managed from inception through to completion.
Their combined expertise covers masonry conservation, roofing, decorative surfaces, heritage repair and principal contracting, supported by strong technical, commercial and financial management capability. The teams ensure projects are accurately costed, closely monitored and efficiently delivered, maintaining the highest standards of quality, technical excellence, health and safety, and care for historic fabric across some of the UK’s most significant buildings and monuments.
Crafts People
DBR employs over 100 skilled craftspeople, and this breadth of talent allows us to undertake a wide range of conservation techniques to historic building fabric, both externally and internally. Below is only a selection of the crafts and specialist skills within our team, including stonework repair and replacement, masonry cleaning, joinery conservation, gilding, decorative surface conservation, polychrome analysis, and roofing repairs and renewal in lead, copper, zinc, tiles and slates.
Office Team
Behind every successful project at DBR Limited is a dedicated office team keeping everything running smoothly. Our office team is the engine room of the business, supporting our management and craftspeople while ensuring our clients receive the highest level of service from start to finish. Together, this team provides the structure, organisation, and support that allows our projects to run efficiently and our craftsmanship to shine. While they may not always be on-site, their contribution is essential to every success story at DBR Limited.
